About Us
Aryana Farsai is the founder of Aryon Artworks.
Aryana began her arts career in the early 90's, learning materials fabrication while assisting artist Barry Schwartz with his sound design sculpture performances for early Wired Magazine events. She is a second generation political activist; a person who chooses art as a vehicle for addressing concerns of social equality, and the environmental health of the biosphere.
After a successful performance series with Barry, she took on a 2 year welding training program at a local college, culminating with her creation of several sculptural steel pieces.
In the late 90's she became interested in holistic healing, and the spiritual side of art design, as well as pursuing a BA of Arts Degree emphasizing community design and development, and organic gardening in the new millenium.
After she completed her studies, she began to look into local environmental based social networks, and to what she could do to support them in their creation. Settling upon ceramic and mosaic artwork, she has consistently been a part of collaborative communities whose expresssions include: music events, eco- and co-housing, organic agriculture, and cafe's.
In recent years she has further developed her interests in the fields of historic and contemporary ceramic tiles, architectural preservation, handbuildt ceramics and mosaics using diverse mediums: ceramic tile, vitrious glass, marble, reclaimed stone, and other mixed media applications of mosaic.
